What’ s the meaning of HV bolt?

HV bolts usually are hex bolts with headmark HV, which comes from the German words ‘Hochfest Vorgespannt’. HV bolts are usually preloaded bolting assemblies including structural bolts EN 14399-4, nuts and washers which are widely used in preloaded steel constructions.

What the HV set consists of?

The HV set consists of the following bolt, nut and washers:

• 1pc HV 10.9 hexagon head screw, hot dip galvanized, in accordance with EN 14399–4
• 1pc hexagonal nut HV 10, hot dip galvanized, in accordance with standard EN 14399–4
• 2 or 3pcs HV 300–370 HV washers, hot dip galvanized, in accordance with EN 14399–6

What is the DIN equivalent of EN 14399-4 bolt?

EN 14399-4 bolts are structural bolts, which equivalent to DIN standard structural bolt DIN6914. Both EN 14399-4 bolts and DIN6914 structural bolts are used in most construction and industrial applications like steel structures, automotive, heavy equipments etc, for their high tensile strength and durability.
